The sustainable BE SAFE long johns are made in a minimalist design to fit every situation where you need extra warmth and safety. All details are well thought through to improve comfort and flexibility.
It’s the small details that makes the difference
Our sustainable long johns are made with focus on extra security and warmth during the day. They are produced in the softest organic cotton jersey. They wraps around your body and gives you warmth on cold days. The elastic waistband has a soft brushed backside which is extra smooth and doesn’t leave marks.
We have designed our collection to resist trends of the time. It means that we are independent of seasons in the fashion industry which makes our production more sustainable.
Organic cotton, why?
The reasons for using organic cotton instead of conventional are many. The primary reason is that it’s a better choice. Both for you and our planet. Conventional cotton is grown with the use of pesticides, which affects our groundwater, animal life and work conditions for local farmers.
- Free from pesticides
- Free from chemicals
- It is a better choice for the planet
- It is more expensive to produce than conventional cotton
- Compared to polyester we still use a lot of water in the production
Warm and breathable long johns must be produced by the best cotton, which is why we have chosen to use 95% organic PIMA-cotton and 5% elastane. PIMA-cotton is known to be the strongest of the different types of cotton. It makes a durable and long-lasting material with the advantage of also being silky-smooth, allergy friendly and holds it luster.
Wash and care: We recommend you wash your underwear by 60 degrees Celsius to kill all bacteria and wash without bleach.
Shrinkage: Cotton shrinks and so do our underwear – 3-5%.
Shape: Long legged and normal fit.
